Caring for dyed products:
Can I wear my shirt the minute I receive it?
Although we send out our products already washed, it is unknown what can or may happend when the product is in transit nor do we know the customer's skin ailments/allergies/condition. As we have no control of transportation hazzards, so too we have no control over customer skin conditions. As a result, we recommend you wash your product prior to use.
What temperature should I use to wash?
As with any colored fabric, we recommend washing colors in cold water to prevent color bleeding of other fabrics in the same wash cycle, and to preserve the color of the fabric.
What temperature should I use when drying?
Depending on the fabric, drying on hot heat can shrink fabrics. We recommend drying dyed natural fiber products no higher than a low/medium heat to prevent color fadding and shrinking. Follow your dryer instructions to determine temperature differences for dryer settings.
If you want to save some money, try air drying outside on a nice day!
What type of detergent or cleaner should I use?
We strongly recommend staying away from products containing bleach when washing dyed products - bleach removes color.
We encourage our customers to use biodegradeable laundry products or detergents containing color enhancers made for cold water wash.
